Turkey Day all over again at the Den. The first flock had churned up the leaf litter on the Saugatuck Trail with their foraging. They moved off as I approached, mostly slowly, but one or two briefly flapped a few feet into the air. Their trotting gait brought to mind a herd of mini-dinosaurs. The birds in the picture were part of a flock (maybe the same flock) crossing the Sap Brook. I guess they don’t like wet feet, because they took off to make the short journey.
