I mentioned Parc national de la Gaspésie in Planning and Imagining Hikes. I went there with my daughters when they were 14, 12 and 7. We took two hikes of note: (1) Mont Xalibu and (2) Pic du Brulé. The first took place in fine weather, the second in torrential rain. There is a map of the park and trails here, although Pic du Brulé is curiously not marked (it lies just north of Lac Gouache). Highlights – views over to high glacial lakes from the top of Xalibu (see picture); seeing a caribou feeding on Xalibu’s alpine summit; seeing moose from the car when we were warm and dry again after the Pic du Brulé hike.
